Happy Fri-YAY! I’m wrapping up the week with things I’m loving lately – just a mini-celebration of all that’s good! Here are my favorites from this past week:
1. Modern Farmhouse Decor!
I grew up in a super french country home and for the majority of my childhood desperately wanted the most modern style instead. But now as a wife + mom myself, I see just how much I love the comfort and coziness of country living. And though I wouldn’t necessarily put roosters around the house like my mom did back in the day, Pinterest gave me a helping hand in discovering that there’s actually a name for this transitional mix between farmhouse chic and minimal/modern style… #ModernFarmhouse! I’ve been obsessing over this hashtag since we moved and thank the Lord that my hubby loves it too! For the love of all things Magnolia, go take a peek at the Pinterest Board I’ve curated for home inspiration!
2. Risen Motherhood
As a God-centered mama, I’m so grateful for women like Laura and Emily who have put together this amazing podcast that continually points moms to the gospel. It’s been a fave for a while, but I recently caught up on their latest season. If you’re navigating motherhood and would love biblical encouragement on your journey, you must have a listen to Risen Motherhood! I promise you’ll glean so much from it!
3. The ONE Thing by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan
Y’all, if you’re a productivity-loving lady like me, you’ll enjoy this book! It’s all about “The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results,” helping us focus on what matters most. Personally, it really helped me hone my many plans/dreams/goals into a simplified way of thinking. The authors’ approach is applicable to all areas of life – not just work – and can be applied right away.
4. Laura Vitale’s Fudgy Brownies
Maybe it’s because Halloween just passed or that Christmas is right around the corner (Nov 1 = the start of the season for me!) but I’m craving these fudgy brownies! Laura Vitale’s recipes have been my go-to for years now and this one is always a hit. Not cakey and not too dense, these brownies are the best I’ve had. Sprinkle powdered sugar on ’em and call it a day! I dare you to try this recipe and tell me what you think 😉
5. Romans 8:28
My verse of the week is found in Romans 8, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Every day and season has its highs and lows but I keep reminding myself with this truth that God is good, faithful, and working everything together for our good and His glory. I hope you find as much joy + peace in that verse as I do!
That’s all for this week! Hope this inspires you with a little something to see, hear, read, and taste! Wishing you the best weekend ever, friends!
Lots of love,
